| hello xanga community!
Due to several factors, I do not have internet access in my room anymore. THEREFORE, updating on xanga is going to be REALLY hard for me to do (and picture updates, which I know are your favorite will be extremely hard as well.) So that is my disclaimer!
But just to let you know, I am alive and very well! (wow... i can't even add a smiley face... this is basic word to the MAX!)
I have TONS of stories to tell, but just not enough time to tell it! So I'll share about my Thanksgiving weekend!
Right after work on wednesday, i got ready to go to Pastor Hong's house for our pre-Thanksgiving gathering with the youth leaders and student leaders! What was weird was, coming home, i had a sudden rush of sadness, that I wish I was with my family and friends back home. I felt so depressed for those few minutes that I had to really come before my Maker and just pray for comfort. After that, I felt much better :). Then going to PH's house to play, eat wonderful dinner, and just play silly games all through out the night was just... priceless :). Scattergories is actually a very awesome game! You walk away feeling very edumacated :) Thanksgiving was AWESOME! I went over to my good friend Solomon's house, arrived there around 3pm and finished eating at 4pm. With all that extra time we talked a bit and got ready to go see the movie Deja Vu with Denzel Washington. So we got together a group of friends and watched it... (which was a REALLY good movie... almost as good as the prestige!) Then the Black Friday prep was ON! We got the advertisements from the newspaper and started circling the items we wanted to get and got our "battle" strageties on while eating at Pho. We didn't want to wait THAT early so we went to play some pool until about 2am. Then we were ready! We went to Circuit City where a LONG line was already in place, with camping tents in the front! The night was COLD and it rain from time to time. So you can imagine 7 of us freezing from the wind and huddling together in a circle, putting our heads together to shield from the harsh wind. We got smart and decided to take shifts. 2 people wait in line while the others sat in the car. Every ten minutes, the next group would switch out, giving a good adequate 20 minutes in the car! Finally we all grouped together at 4:45am and got ready to rush the doors. At 5am we went into the store. Let me tell you... total CHAOS! It was as if everything was FREE or something!!! I came to a conclusion. The people that wait at 8pm for a store (which we think are crazy for doing so) actually are kind of smart. It comes down to this... you will have to wait a good amount of time. The question is, do you want to wait in the BEGINNING and get out quick or wait later but wait FOREVER in a line to check out. See, getting INTO the store isn't the problem... it's checking OUT of it! But I was blessed and I got everything I wanted... including my Mio GPS system for $150 after rebate! :) My poor friend Susanna wasn't so fortunate. She was waiting in a BAD line that didn't move FOREVER. I was able to purchase my stuff, stuff for others at Office Max, ran to the mall and went to EVERY SINGLE STORE I wanted to, bought what i needed, met up with my friends, ran back to circuit city, and realized... she STILL had 2 people in front of her... sad day for her :( Got home around 9am, and my friend and i just CRASHED... woke up at 5pm and got ready for church to prepare for the Thanksgiving service... hahaha but service was beautiful. we had the candllight thing going and a very reflective time. Then we had our potluck dinner! yeeee :) Then had my friend Tom come over and we just talked about music, life, and mainly about the "girl" in our lives... HAHAHA, but it's really awesome to be able to be really open about stuff that really matter :) Then the rest of the weekend was spent doing church stuff, advertising for winter retreat, planning, worship team practice... all the stuff I LOVE to do :) i praise God for everything :)
After some reflecting, I am REALLY thankful for my loving supportive family, the AWESOME friends here in WA and really bonding with them this year, my loyal friends back home in CA, serving in ministry, and the financial wealth the Lord has entrusted me with. :)
Current updates: It actually SNOWED here in Tacoma, WA! A beautiful sight but a nightmare to my car and roads. My car froze and I couldn't get in! hahaha... biking was COMPLETELY a stupid idea, falling twice within a minute... so I ended up walking to work :P Praise God for a good pair of legs and some exercise! Ministry is REALLY starting to load up. I'm giving the message this Friday about the "demanding spirit" to want God to answer our prayers the way WE want them answered. Please pray for me that the holy spirit will use me to speak to the hearts of those who are there to listen :). Winter Retreat for the guys is coming up and there is MUCH WORK to do and well as prayer! So please pray for the TFBC youth winter retreat from the Dec 20 to Dec 23 that His will be done and our boys come back as stronger leaders and people that pursue holiness.
I'll be back in Cali by Dec 24... Christmas Eve... and leaving again on Jan 1st :P
And I will be going to the all EFC retreat :) I am very excited to see everyone again :)
That is the updates... sorry there aren't any pictures... even though I have taken a lot =P Have a good day :)
P.S. Myspace is a REALLY good networking tool. Just comment people you haven't talked to you a looong time... it's a blessing to them AND you :)

Before I upload any pictures... I want to wish my little sister Tiffany a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! She is 18 years old now... and for you guys NO, that does not mean she's legal for YOU... EVER.
With that being said... here are the pictures!
6.8.06 Lakewood HS Graduation You know... i realized the simple joys of being invited to high school graduations. Though it's not the most exciting thing in the world, how many normal people get a chance to go to a HS grad after their own/siblings? Not very many. But if you work with the youth, it shows they want to share a very important time in their life with you. What an honor

6.27.06- Stephanie's (Purum) Sweet 16 This was another tear jerker. Being invited to a sweet 16. Now if most people my age went to a sweet 16, they would be called "cradle robbers" and other bad names. But being a youth leader i had the honor of attending one Birthday girl about to blow out candles
Picture with soaked bday girl
Yelin's cool Popeye shirt... yeee
That about covers the month of June... i'll post the other ones from July later And last but not least... I have two prayer request...

Our church is hosting a HUGE Revival set for July 21-22. PLEASE pray for this event! This is our first time putting this event together and inviting churches from Olympia to Seattle. We really want to see God glorified, Christians coming together to give their lives back to God, and non-believers to know Christ as their personal Saviors. We need a lot of prayer to make this happen... so please pray! Lastly... a special prayer request for my good friend Mizie So.
She feels the Lord calling her to missions in Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. She leaves on July 24th. Please keep her in prayer as well as the group she is going with. Please pray for health, safety, and above all else the Lord glorified. Thanks
